Our client is seeking a motivated Paralegal to join their dynamic Dispute Resolution team. The role involves a variety of responsibilities, from assisting with legal documentation to maintaining client relationships and ensuring seamless matter management.
Job Duties:
- Provide comprehensive support to fee-earners, meeting agreed target chargeable hours.
- Assist fee-earners and clients with legal issues, drafting and amending legal documents.
- Perform various searches and manage financials, including budgets, work in progress (WIP), and aged debt reporting.
- Act as the primary communication link between fee-earners and clients.
- Accurately set up new client matters in the client accounting and database system.
- Maintain and update client records, ensuring files are organised, active matters are current, and completed matters are archived.
- Support business development (BD) arrangements for fee-earners as required.
- Delegate administrative tasks in line with the team workflow model.
- Utilise the Global Support Team for additional support services.
- Trial and support new technology and innovation initiatives.
- Handle incoming telephone calls, relay accurate messages, and set up conference and outgoing calls for the team.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications such as LLB, GDL, LPC, or SQE, or prior paralegal experience.
- Strong technical proficiency and ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with a professional and organised approach.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to support team initiatives and BD activities.
