Human Resources Administrator

Our client is seeking an HR Administrator to support the daily operations of a busy HR department, ensuring a smooth employee lifecycle. This is a full-time role with working hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 5:30pm. The role offers hybrid working, with four days in the office and one day working from home. Key responsibilities will involve managing onboarding processes, handling employee changes, and maintaining HR systems and records, among other tasks. 

 

Job Duties:

  • Conduct all tasks related to global onboarding, including issuing contracts, managing immigration requirements, pre-employment vetting, and scheduling first-day inductions and probation reviews.
  • Manage leaver processes efficiently.
  • Input and monitor employee sickness records, escalating concerns over high absences.
  • Process work permit and visa renewals.
  • Manage long service awards and professional qualification requests.
  • Check, code, and secure approval for HR invoices.
  • Handle administration for employee changes such as promotions, transfers, secondments, and changes in working hours.
  • Process reference requests.
  • Assist with the organisation of student schemes and placements.
  • Generate ad hoc reports from the HR system as needed.
  • Develop a clear understanding of HR policies and procedures to respond to basic queries.
  • Build familiarity with designated practice areas and jurisdictions to better support operational needs.
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and capability.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • A diplomatic, friendly, and team-oriented approach.
