Our client is seeking an Audit Senior to support the Audit Manager in planning and executing audit processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role involves assisting with internal and external audits, supporting the audit team, and contributing to audit strategy development. There will also be opportunities to work in other areas, including the preparation of financial statements and tax compliance, such as drafting tax and VAT returns.
Job Duties:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing internal and external audits.
- Support daily audit operations and ensure compliance with auditing standards.
- Review and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Help ensure compliance with accounting principles, financial regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in managing and mentoring the audit team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of audit strategies and procedures.
- Identify and assess areas of financial risk and assist in implementing mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor audit findings and follow up on corrective actions.
- Work in other areas of general practice and fiduciary services, including financial statement preparation and tax compliance.
Job Requirements:
- ACCA or ACA qualified (or equivalent professional certification).
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and financial reporting regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail.
