Our client is seeking a Group Compliance Officer to ensure ongoing adherence to legal and regulatory obligations across multiple jurisdictions. This role requires collaboration with internal teams to provide regulatory guidance, conduct compliance monitoring, and promote a strong compliance culture. The successful candidate will support the implementation of policies, processes, and training to maintain regulatory compliance across the organisation.
Job Duties:
- Contribute to the day-to-day activities of the Compliance Team in line with departmental objectives.
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc compliance assurance monitoring in accordance with the Group Compliance Assurance Monitoring Framework.
- Analyse monitoring results, identify areas for improvement, and produce reports.
- Assist in identifying, recording, investigating, and resolving compliance breaches.
- Support the development and delivery of compliance training across the organisation.
- Maintain the Group Compliance Calendar and ensure timely reporting and submissions.
- Monitor regulatory developments across multiple jurisdictions and communicate key updates.
- Assist in maintaining the Group Compliance Assurance Monitoring Framework.
- Support business functions to ensure regulatory compliance across all subsidiaries and service providers.
- Maintain compliance-related policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Review and approve sales literature and communications.
- Collaborate with the wider Group Risk & Compliance Department to achieve key organisational objectives.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in a compliance function within a regulated financial services company, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Relevant compliance qualification is advantageous.
- Experience in compliance monitoring, control testing, or regulatory investigations.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Understanding of applicable regulatory regimes and risk management principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to assess and communicate regulatory changes and developments.
- Experience in delivering compliance-related training.
- Ability to build positive working relationships across the business.
- Proactive and well-organised, with the ability to manage workload effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint.
