Broker Support Officer

Our client is seeking a Broker Support Officer to assist with the maintenance of broker files and ensure a seamless onboarding process for key distributors. Based in the Isle of Man, this role involves supporting the sales team with administrative tasks, broker relationship management, and process improvements. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient broker administration and maintaining high service standards.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in the successful delivery of departmental objectives.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to support the sales function.
  • Take ownership of and resolve queries efficiently.
  • Review and update procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor and follow up on pending work to ensure timely completion.
  • Apply a proactive, solutions-based approach to resolving issues.
  • Maintain professional communication with stakeholders at all times.
  • Carry out broker administration tasks, including:
  • Setting up and cancelling Terms of Business.
  • Processing agent and suitable certifier cancellations.
  • Managing company name, director, and shareholder changes.
  • Onboarding brokers and managing portal access.
  • Document scanning and data migration.
  • Handling data feed requests.

Job Requirements:

  • Familiarity with offshore financial markets and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Competence in Microsoft applications, including Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Experience in sales within the financial services or insurance industry is desirable.
  • Knowledge of life insurance products and distribution processes is advantageous.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify client needs and provide effective support.
