Our client is seeking a motivated and ambitious Assistant Manager or a part-qualified professional looking to step into a managerial position. This role offers the opportunity to oversee a small team and gain exposure to a diverse client portfolio across accounting, tax, and trust services. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and will be supported in their professional development, including external management and leadership training.
Job Duties:
- Oversee a small team and coordinate the assignment of work.
- Review financial statements, VAT returns, and tax assessments to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Administer a portfolio of companies and trusts, managing varied client structures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and due diligence requirements, liaising with the Compliance team as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with managers and senior stakeholders regarding client matters.
- Provide training, supervision, and support to junior team members.
- Conduct appraisals and participate in management meetings.
- Represent the firm in a professional capacity when engaging with clients and external parties.
Job Requirements:
- Part-qualified / final-year ACCA or ACA trainee, or newly qualified (up to two years PQE).
- Experience working in a general accountancy practice or TCSP environment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop junior staff.
- High level of discretion, diplomacy, and professionalism.
- Willingness to expand expertise across accountancy and trust administration.
- Audit experience is not required.
