Mortgage & Life Advisor

Our client is seeking a Mortgage and Life Advisor to evaluate and prepare mortgage and life insurance applications while maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients. This sales-focused role involves advising clients on their financial status, repayment methods, and available products, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will liaise with counterparts in other jurisdictions to maintain consistency and efficiency across the Group.

Job Duties:

  • Work towards sales and corporate governance targets for the Mortgage & Life Insurance Department.
  • Maintain a proactive and supportive approach within the team, displaying a positive and professional attitude.
  • Engage directly with clients and stakeholders, responding to mortgage and life insurance queries within qualification scope.
  • Evaluate and prepare mortgage and life insurance applications in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Meet with applicants to gather and discuss information regarding their applications and provide guidance on the process.
  • Manage the mortgage and life insurance portfolio, updating daily activity records.
  • Provide timely quotations within qualification scope.
  • Issue documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Conduct regular client solicitation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Undertake general administrative duties and maintain accurate records within Group databases.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments by attending training programmes and engaging in self-directed learning.
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by the Board or Directors to support the effective operation of the Group.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Mortgage Advisor, Life Advisor, or in a similar role.
  • Certificate in Finance Services (Cert CII) qualification or equivalent.
  • CeMap or Certificate in Mortgage Advice qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to adhere to all internal policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Strong ICT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Evidence of self-development through training or independent learning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage enquiries at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and make independent decisions when necessary.
