Senior Client Manager

Our client is seeking a Senior Client Manager to oversee client functions and ensure the delivery of client-focused services within the Client Support, New Business, and Payments teams in the Isle of Man. This role involves working closely with key business partners and stakeholders to maintain a strong regulatory framework, ensuring clients and intermediaries remain the priority throughout the account opening and operational support process.

Job Duties:

  • Direct and oversee the daily operations of the client functions to support business goals.
  • Maintain a strong focus on AML compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance client and intermediary satisfaction.
  • Drive process improvements in client onboarding and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with compliance colleagues to ensure adherence to regulatory and code requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory policies and directives.
  • Oversee risk management processes and ensure timely resolution of internal audit actions.
  • Escalate issues and risk events, providing solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Assess and approve account openings, periodic reviews, and payment provisions.
  • Act as a point of escalation for problem resolution and complaints.
  • Align client service processes with operations in South Africa.
  • Evaluate employee performance, provide coaching, and identify development opportunities.
  • Prepare reports for senior management and analyse data to monitor SLAs and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate values and regulatory policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and leadership capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Isle of Man financial services regulations, particularly AML and CFT risk.
  • Experience in managing, mentoring, and evaluating staff performance.
  • Ability to challenge current practices and drive improvements in quality and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect and assess data to mitigate risk.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritise effectively.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Over five years’ experience in the financial sector in a client-focused role.
  • Strong understanding of business drivers within financial and professional services.
  • Experience with onboarding complex structures is advantageous.
  • Professional management qualifications are desirable.
