Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage payroll processing and payments for a portfolio of clients. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong time management and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy, maintaining employee records, and meeting statutory reporting requirements. No experience is necessary for this role, although previous payroll experience would be advantageous. Candidates with strong customer service skills, a high level of numeracy, and excellent attention to detail are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel is essential.
Job Duties:
- Process payrolls accurately and in a timely manner.
- Liaise with clients to obtain payroll changes and send payroll reports.
- Request and verify client funds for payroll payments.
- Distribute payslips and set up salary payments where required.
- Maintain up-to-date payroll and employee records.
- Respond to client queries professionally and efficiently.
- Report monthly to the Payroll Project Manager on client issues and errors.
- Ensure statutory compliance for government returns and payroll reporting.
- Submit year-end returns, including Benefits in Kind.
- Ensure timely and accurate contributions to relevant bodies.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all clients within the assigned portfolio.
- Perform additional payroll-related tasks as required.
Job Requirements:
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities.
- High level of numeracy with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and manage self-learning.
- High level of motivation and initiative.
- Awareness of data protection and financial regulations.
- 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above.
- Payroll experience, particularly in Isle of Man (IOM) or UK payroll.
- Knowledge of IOM, UK, Irish, Jersey, or Guernsey payroll.
- Experience with payroll processing in multiple jurisdictions.
