Our client is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their growing team. This role involves overseeing financial reporting and compliance for one or more jurisdictions, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency across all subsidiaries. The successful candidate will provide financial insights, manage risk, and support strategic initiatives, playing a key role in financial operations.
Job Duties:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Contribute to the development of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Manage cash flow, monitoring balances and forecasts.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management and boards of directors.
- Collaborate with jurisdictional management teams to ensure financial understanding and efficiency.
- Support strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management practices.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Experience in fiduciary, fund services, financial services, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
