Our client is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of their global corporate practice. This role involves developing and implementing marketing and business development plans, managing events, coordinating legal directory submissions, and overseeing CRM and email marketing initiatives. The successful candidate will also lead and motivate a small team, ensuring the efficient delivery of strategic initiatives.
Job Duties:
- Assist in creating marketing and business development (M&BD) plans and budgets for relevant practice areas.
- Lead on the development and execution of agreed marketing and business development initiatives.
- Track M&BD spend against budget and contribute to the annual budgeting process.
- Plan, research, organise, and implement global industry and client events and seminars.
- Develop targeted guest lists for client events and promotional strategies for industry conferences.
- Manage relationships with third-party suppliers, securing sponsorship agreements and event services.
- Provide front-of-house support at events and promote events through the website and social media.
- Monitor event costs and conduct post-event analysis.
- Create and submit legal directory entries for corporate practice areas.
- Project manage and deliver chapter contributions for industry publications.
- Coordinate the publication of client updates through external channels.
- Brief third-party designers for marketing collateral updates.
- Devise and implement targeted marketing campaigns, generating lists and analysing engagement statistics.
- Provide training and support on CRM systems to partners and fee earners.
- Assist with the creation and production of bids and proposals.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of two M&BD professionals, delegating tasks effectively.
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team on brand campaigns and communications.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in marketing within financial or professional services is preferred.
- Event organisation experience is beneficial.
- Familiarity with CRM systems is advantageous.
- Ideally educated to graduate level, with a CIM qualification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective prioritisation and organisational abilities.
- Strong budget management skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork.
