Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Product Office team on a 12-month contract basis. This full-time role will focus on the successful implementation of a new core investments solution across both Investment Operations and Investment Management functions. The Project Manager will work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, third-party technical teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure timely and budget-conscious project delivery, in line with established frameworks and risk management processes.
Job Duties:
- Direct, guide, and monitor project resources to achieve agreed milestones and objectives
- Develop and maintain project plans and roadmaps
- Plan and allocate project resources effectively
- Track progress against project goals and adjust plans as needed
- Prepare agendas and attend project meetings, maintaining accurate notes and action records
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of action points
- Communicate with project team members, internal business customers, and third-party partners
- Prepare regular progress reports, including regulatory updates as required
- Manage project initiation and closure activities
- Drive continuous improvement of programme and project management processes
- Ensure adherence to the organisation’s values of Excellence, Integrity, and Innovation throughout project delivery
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Delivery Manager or Project Manager
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to build trust, manage team dynamics, and motivate others
- Experience in coaching teams through change initiatives
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement effective solutions independently
- Articulate and credible at senior management level, with excellent reporting skills
- Relevant project delivery qualification (e.g. Prince 2, Agile) and/or service management qualification (e.g. ITIL)
- Experience delivering high-quality digital software projects (desirable)
- Previous experience in a financial services environment (desirable)
- Proficient with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft tools including SharePoint, Project, Excel, and Word
