Senior Administrator, New Business

Our client is seeking a Senior Administrator to support the Manager and Supervisor within the Welcome and New Business teams. This full-time permanent role is vital in delivering a high standard of service to both internal and external clients by ensuring timely and accurate processing of all incoming requests. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining and improving service standards in line with the company’s operational plans.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver accurate and timely processing of all New Business and Welcome team procedures
  • Handle complex work items, supporting junior staff as needed
  • Allocate daily workloads including post distribution
  • Monitor team workflows and workloads, escalating concerns when necessary
  • Ensure all team tasks are completed within service level agreements
  • Provide ad hoc and structured training to junior team members
  • Mentor and support the development of new and junior team members
  • Review and maintain departmental procedures regularly
  • Assist with updating the Skills Matrix quarterly to track staff development
  • Contribute feedback on performance for team reviews and development planning
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory legislation and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with other teams across Customer Services as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Previous New Business experience in the Life Assurance or Investment industry
  • Experience in Life Assurance administration
  • Current or recent experience (within the last 12 months) of AML and Risk Assessments
  • Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage workloads and prioritise effectively
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving process issues
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to personal and team development
  • Flexible approach to supporting wider business needs
