Human Resources Advisor

Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join their organisation on a full-time, permanent basis. This Jersey-based role involves working closely with managers and Human Resources Business Partners to provide expert advice, ensure legal compliance, and support employee engagement across multiple sites, including occasional travel to locations such as Portsmouth, Poole, and Dover. The successful candidate will be pivotal in shaping the Human Resources function during the setup of a new operational route and will play an integral part in fostering a high-performing and inclusive workplace culture.

Job Duties:

  • Provide expert advice and support on employee relations issues, including disciplinaries, grievances, restructures, and TUPE processes
  • Guide and support managers on performance management, employee development, and compliance matters
  • Coach and deliver local training sessions to enhance leadership capability and staff development
  • Ensure Human Resources policies and procedures remain current and compliant with local employment law
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to support organisational change and drive employee engagement
  • Coordinate and support aspects of payroll and Human Resources administration where required
  • Travel between regional sites as needed to support Human Resources operations and strategic initiatives
  • Actively contribute to wider Human Resources initiatives, meetings, and training programmes

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a Human Resources advisory or generalist role
  • Strong working knowledge of Jersey employment legislation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident in challenging established practices to drive improvement
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK as required
  • Safety-conscious mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
