Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their Corporate team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will support Partners and fee-earners across a range of legal matters, often acting as the first point of contact for clients and managing workstreams effectively. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate law within a busy legal practice.
Job Duties:
- Conduct legal research to support fee-earners
- Proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and eliminate errors
- Prepare court bundles for hearings and legal proceedings
- Draft legal opinions including Capacity and Due Execution opinions and Enforceability opinions
- Draft various legal agreements, including Security Interest agreements
- Prepare Corporate Authorisation and other ancillary transaction documents
- Review and comment on constitutional documents of Jersey-incorporated companies
- Assist with listings and provide ongoing support with file management
Job Requirements:
- Law degree or equivalent legal qualification
- Strong legal research capabilities
- Eagerness to develop professionally and learn quickly
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong command of English grammar and punctuation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
