Accounts Associate

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Associate to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Based on the Isle of Man, this role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or further a career in accountancy, with full study support towards an ACCA or ACA qualification. The successful candidate will assist with a range of accountancy duties, including accounts preparation, tax return submissions, and VAT reporting, while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive and progressive working environment.

Job Duties:

• Assist in the preparation of financial accounts by methodically organising client records and inputting data into accountancy software
• Support the preparation of company, trust, and personal tax returns
• Prepare VAT returns in line with statutory requirements
• Provide administrative support to the accounts department
• Assist senior team members and directors with various finance-related tasks
• Carry out general office and administration duties as required

Job Requirements:

• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade B or above
• A Levels or equivalent qualifications preferred
• A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in an accounting environment is beneficial
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A proactive and collaborative approach to team work
• Ability to manage time effectively and take accountability for tasks
• Willingness to pursue an ACCA or ACA qualification with full training support provided
