Our client is seeking a Regulatory Technician to join their Compliance Team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role plays a key part in supporting the achievement of regulatory compliance objectives across the organisation. It is ideally suited to someone looking to build a career in compliance, with the potential to progress from Level 7 to Level 6b, supported by a development plan which may include an International Compliance Association qualification.
Job Duties:
- Manage the Compliance query mailbox, allocating queries to Regulatory Officers or resolving them independently where possible
- Log reported breaches on the appropriate registers
- Provide support across all Regulatory Officers, contributing to a broad development of compliance knowledge and skills
- Review and approve documentation, including Financial Promotions for UK and international audiences
- Compile reports and management information for both international and group-level use
- Oversee the Regulatory Reporting Diary Reminder process
- Maintain Compliance Team registers
- Conduct regulatory horizon scanning to identify and assess regulatory changes
- Contribute to the improvement of compliance processes and ensure procedure updates are implemented
Job Requirements:
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- A ‘right first time’ attitude with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to liaise at all levels
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks within Governance, Risk & Compliance functions
- Understanding of UK and international Financial Promotions regulations
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent administrative and interpersonal skills
- Solutions-focused, adaptable and keen to learn and grow
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- High standards of personal integrity and ethical conduct
