Senior Business Risk Services

Our client is seeking a Business Risk Services Senior to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role is focused on helping clients identify, assess, and mitigate business and technology-related risks. The successful candidate will work closely with a variety of clients, applying their knowledge of business processes, risk controls, and data analytics to deliver high-quality assurance and advisory services.

Job Duties:

  • Review client business processes, identify risks and assess the design and operating effectiveness of control environments
  • Advise clients on risk mitigation strategies and opportunities for improvement
  • Analyse risks linked to digital systems, cyber security, emerging technologies, IT resilience, artificial intelligence, and transformation programmes
  • Use data analytics to quantify risks and support assurance work
  • Manage a portfolio of client assignments from onboarding through to completion
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and stay informed on client developments
  • Apply internal policies and ensure work meets ethical and professional standards
  • Supervise and coach junior team members, providing on-the-job training and performance evaluations
  • Monitor work in progress and contribute to billing efficiency
  • Represent the firm professionally and support business development opportunities
  • Maintain relevant professional qualifications and CPD compliance

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant accounting or audit qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in assurance, internal audit, or risk and controls advisory
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines with a proactive approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering effective client service
