Our client is seeking a Compliance Officer to support their Head of Compliance on a permanent, full-time basis, based in the Isle of Man. This is a key role within a busy and collaborative compliance team, where the successful candidate will help ensure regulatory obligations are met, with a strong focus on AML/CFT compliance, internal monitoring, policy development, and training. The role offers the opportunity to contribute across all areas of the compliance function, supporting business integrity and regulatory best practice.
Job Duties:
- Assist the Head of Compliance in developing, implementing, and maintaining internal compliance policies and AML/CFT frameworks
- Conduct compliance monitoring reviews in line with the firm’s compliance monitoring plan
- Support client onboarding, including customer due diligence checks and risk assessments
- Help collate and submit regulatory filings such as annual returns and AML/CFT reports
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure relevant updates are communicated and implemented across the business
- Maintain training records and assist in delivering internal compliance training sessions
- Prepare reports and management information for Board meetings and regulators
- Maintain accurate compliance records, including registers of breaches and remediation activity
- Liaise with administrators and staff across the business to provide compliance support and guidance
- Assist the MLRO/DMLRO with investigations and internal reports
- Support audit and inspection preparation activities
- Undertake general compliance and administrative tasks as required
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in a compliance or regulatory role
- Knowledge of AML/CFT frameworks and relevant legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Discreet and professional approach to handling sensitive information
- Confident using Microsoft Office and compliance systems
- Proactive and adaptable with the ability to work to deadlines
