HR Administrator

Our client is seeking an HR Administrator to join their busy HR Operations team on a full-time, permanent basis in Jersey. This role is key to supporting the employee lifecycle through efficient and timely transactional processing across onboarding, changes to employment, and leavers. With hybrid working available, this opportunity offers a balance of structure and flexibility in a collaborative working environment.

Job Duties:

  • Manage onboarding processes including issuing contracts and paperwork, immigration checks, pre-employment vetting, and scheduling induction and probation reviews
  • Carry out all offboarding tasks related to employee leavers
  • Record employee sickness and escalate high absence concerns where necessary
  • Process work permit and visa renewals
  • Administer long service awards and professional qualification requests
  • Check, code and gain approval for HR invoices
  • Process employee changes including promotions, transfers, secondments, and working hours
  • Handle employment reference requests
  • Assist in organising student schemes and placements
  • Run ad hoc reports from the HR system as required
  • Respond to basic HR policy and procedure queries
  • Develop a good understanding of practice areas and jurisdictions to support local needs
  • Identify and suggest process improvements for greater efficiency
  • Collaborate with recruitment, payroll, benefits, business partnering, and external third-party providers

Job Requirements:

  • Highly organised with strong prioritisation and multitasking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Previous administrative experience is desirable but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail with a professional and discreet approach
  • Diplomatic and team-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to develop knowledge of HR practices and systems
