Junior Trader

Our client is seeking a Junior Trader to join their Trading department on a full-time basis. Based in the Isle of Man, this role offers the opportunity to begin a career in agricultural commodity trading through a comprehensive training programme combining hands-on experience and formal coursework. The successful candidate will support Senior Traders in both commercial and analytical tasks, with the goal of progressing into a full Trader position and taking on greater responsibility within the trading operation.

Job Duties:

• Manage physical trade operations with a focus on grain origination
• Assist Senior Traders in identifying opportunities and optimising P&L in cash trading
• Execute Futures and FOREX transactions under the guidance of Senior Traders
• Work with Operations, Logistics, and Freight teams to optimise contract execution
• Conduct market analysis in coordination with Global Product Line leads
• Contribute to global supply and demand analysis alongside Product Line leads
• Participate in commercial interactions under the supervision of Senior Traders
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Ensure effective communication of information feedback loops across internal teams

Job Requirements:

• Commercial degree or equivalent qualification preferred
• Previous experience in agricultural markets is advantageous but not essential
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
