Our client is seeking an experienced Manager to oversee Non-Financial Risk (NFR) on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is based in the Isle of Man and is only open to candidates with the right to work and reside on the island. This position will support the implementation of the NFR strategy across Business and Commercial Banking, Personal and Private Banking, and Corporate Functions. You will provide operational support and expert risk advisory services to ensure all relevant non-financial risks are effectively identified, reported, and mitigated.
Job Duties:
- Drive the implementation of the NFR strategy across multiple business units in line with group policies and risk appetite
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all 17 non-financial risk categories
- Provide strategic risk insights and guidance on new products, strategic initiatives and change programmes
- Support scenario planning, root cause analysis and risk acceptance processes
- Monitor risk exposure and escalate material concerns to the appropriate governance forums
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal group requirements across areas such as business resilience, third-party risk, fraud, technology risk and information risk
- Promote a strong risk and control culture through training, stakeholder engagement and knowledge sharing
- Contribute to the development of the NFR framework in response to emerging risks and business needs
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Commerce or Risk Management
- 5–7 years’ experience in risk management, with a focus on non-financial risk across multiple areas including fraud, information risk, third-party risk and operational risk
- Strong knowledge of risk and control frameworks and their practical application within financial services
- Experience in managing senior stakeholders and providing advisory input on risk management
- Excellent analytical, decision-making and communication skills
- Demonstrable ability to embed a proactive and strategic risk management culture
