Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team on a full-time basis in Jersey. This role focuses on developing profitable new business, nurturing strong client relationships, and supporting strategic growth through proactive sales initiatives. Working primarily with financial and professional services organisations, you will manage both inbound and outbound opportunities of varying size and complexity, contributing to the long-term commercial success of the business.
Job Duties:
- Close multi-year deals with growing companies across the region
- Develop and execute targeted account plans in collaboration with marketing stakeholders
- Sell the value of technology managed services and solutions, progressing opportunities through to contract closure
- Support the lead lifecycle from marketing qualified lead to successful deal closure
- Coordinate with sales and marketing to enhance brand awareness and visibility
- Ensure brand messaging remains strong and consistent across all sales activities
- Promote a positive and professional working environment
- Maintain confidentiality in all business interactions and communications
- Utilise sales systems and tools to monitor quality, compliance, and performance
- Identify new business opportunities to strengthen client services
- Contribute to functional planning and continuous business development
- Keep informed on industry trends and market dynamics
Job Requirements:
- Confident initiating high-level contact with stakeholders at all seniority levels
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to close deals effectively
- Skilled at building rapport and nurturing long-term relationships
- Proven lead generation and professional networking capabilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with creativity in sales strategies and execution
- Team-oriented and experienced in cross-functional collaboration
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a full-cycle sales role
- Track record in a high-velocity sales environment with regular SQL creation and deal closure
- Consistent quota achievement across various sales cycles
- Solid experience in business development and managing target account lists
- Comfortable delivering sales presentations and running meetings with clients and vendors
- Possession of a valid driving licence
