Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Associate to join their Audit team. In this role, you will assist with the planning and administration of audit assignments, ensuring completion to a high standard within agreed timelines and budgets. Your commitment to effective client service and quality work will uphold the company’s ethical and professional standards, contributing to overall organisational success.
Job Duties:
- Assist in the conduct of audit engagements under supervision and potentially undertake smaller, non-complex audits, including pre-audit scoping and preparation.
- Identify audit risks and perform preliminary evaluations of client internal control structures to highlight weaknesses and areas for improvement.
- Support audit planning procedures and ensure key matters not identified at the planning stage are escalated to client management.
- Complete allocated tasks to a high standard that meets established reporting and auditing requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and review of simpler financial statements and management reports to deepen understanding of various entities and accounting issues.
- Monitor your own work in progress and contribute positively to departmental billing.
- Build client confidence while developing relationships that ensure client retention and growth.
- Act as an ambassador for the firm, promoting the company and facilitating new business opportunities.
- Pursue relevant professional qualifications to become a qualified auditor, as per a signed training agreement.
Job Requirements:
- Highly PC literate with a strong command of Windows software and Microsoft 365.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
- Team player with the confidence to work independently on specific engagements.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, coupled with a flexible and proactive approach.
