Senior Officer, Operational Risk

Our client is seeking a Senior Officer to join their Key Control Assessment Team, focusing on Operational Risk within the Wealth Management Europe sector. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a dynamic environment dedicated to maintaining robust controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory and global policy requirements, and effectively mitigating Fiduciary, Reputational, and Operational risks. 

Job Duties:

• Assist with Quality Assurance induction training for new employees and ongoing training related to the QA Team's functions.
• Conduct internal control checks to uphold quality service and a strong control environment.
• Track and follow up on outstanding issues arising from various reviews, including risk and audit.
• Complete Management Information Systems for reporting purposes.
• Participate in projects concerning quality, risk management, and compliance initiatives.
• Execute end-to-end process reviews to confirm procedural and regulatory compliance, documenting findings for follow-up.
• Support the QA Management Team and the business during external and internal inspections.
• Provide feedback to the Management Team, making recommendations for team process and procedure enhancements.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience in an operational or risk environment within a financial institution.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal controls and their application in the workplace.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively prioritise workload.
• Strong presentation skills.
