Senior Payment Administrators x 2

Our client is seeking two dedicated and skilled Senior Payment Administrators to join their dynamic payments team. In this pivotal role, the administrators will be responsible for processing payments, resolving exceptions, and managing queries while ensuring exceptional service levels. The successful candidates will support the team in delivering efficient solutions to meet stakeholder needs, assisting in workflow management, and providing guidance to junior members. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to the team's success and enhance client experiences.

Job Duties:

  • Accurately book and process foreign exchange transactions according to defined policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to service levels.
  • Deliver high-quality service to both internal and external customers by understanding their needs and responding appropriately.
  • Identify and escalate suspicious activities to management to mitigate risks in accordance with Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer regulations.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of services across the Operations team.
  • Oversee inward and outward payment queues, assisting in workload allocation to ensure efficient processing.
  • Resolve payment inquiries and concerns, informing management of significant risks to safeguard both the bank and clients.
  • Conduct reconciliations on Nostro accounts and manage breaks effectively, escalating issues as needed for resolution.
  • Provide technical support to the payments team by validating, authorising, processing, and releasing outward payments timely.
  • Participate in System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing for change projects, ensuring changes are feasible prior to implementation.
  • Assist the Operations Change team with change impact assessments and support communication to foster team engagement.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in general banking or payment administration.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks while demonstrating a high standard of work.
  • Strong ability to embrace change and adapt to new challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in interpreting data and applying technology to enhance processing capabilities.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
