Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Accountant to join their Accounts Department. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team, manage a diverse client portfolio, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes. The position can be full-time or part-time, with flexible working opportunities.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate within a team to manage a portfolio of clients
- Supervise and support additional team members as required
- Prepare and review financial statements for small and medium-sized entities in accordance with FRS 102 Section 1A
- Oversee bookkeeping for client structures
- Ensure timely delivery of financial statements to clients
- Respond to client queries regarding financial statements
- Prepare and review management accounts
- Prepare and/or review VAT returns for client structures
- Support UK/IOM statutory reporting requirements
- Constructively challenge existing systems and procedures, proposing solutions to improve efficiency and enhance client experience
- Undertake additional duties or projects as required
Job Requirements:
- Good A Levels or equivalent
- ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
- Proven accounting experience at a senior level in preparing accounts from source records is essential
- Ability to manage and actively prioritise workload is essential
- Experience of managing multiple stakeholder relationships is essential
- Experience of working with owner-managed businesses is preferred but not essential
- Understanding of Isle of Man Tax legislation and systems is preferred but not essential
- Understanding of UK tax legislation and systems is preferred but not essential
- Experience with CCH and QuickBooks Online is preferred but not essential
