Part or Recently Qualified Accountant

Our client is a prominent accountancy and wealth management services firm headquartered in the Isle of Man. They are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated accountant, either part qualified or newly qualified, who is looking to build a rewarding career within their established practice. This full-time role comprises 37.5 hours per week and offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative environment that values innovation and professional development. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing a diverse client portfolio, contributing to the continued success and growth of the practice while honing their skills in a supportive atmosphere.

Job Duties:

• Collaborate within a team to manage a diverse client portfolio
• Assist in preparing financial statements for small and medium-sized businesses in line with FRS 102 Section 1A
• Prepare accounts for self-employed individuals
• Prepare Isle of Man Company and Personal Tax returns
• Handle enquiries from Tax Authorities professionally and promptly
• Review and challenge existing systems and procedures, suggesting improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience

Job Requirements:

• Newly or part qualified ACA/ACCA status
• Good A Levels or equivalent, or 5 GCSEs or equivalent, at grade B or above
• Experience in accounts preparation from source records is essential
• Experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships is essential
• Experience with owner-managed businesses is preferred but not essential
• Understanding of Isle of Man Tax legislation and systems is preferred but not essential
• Understanding of UK tax legislation and systems is preferred but not essential
• Experience with CCH and Quickbooks Online is preferred but not essential
