Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Compliance Specialist within the Group Risk, Legal and Compliance team. This permanent position reports to the Chief Compliance Officer and plays a crucial role in supporting and embedding the regulatory risk framework across all businesses within the Group. This role is ideal for an individual with a genuine interest in protecting the business, understanding the markets in which it operates, and supporting continuous improvement of the control environment.
Job Duties:
- Support the submission of regulatory returns for the Group Companies
- Maintain various internal governance papers and registers
- Undertake compliance assurance reviews
- Review and respond to regulatory consultations
- Monitor and interpret regulation
- Prepare Board and Committee reports
- Provide regulatory compliance advice and support to key strategic projects
Job Requirements:
- Advantageous to hold a relevant industry qualification, such as the ICA International Diploma or equivalent, or the willingness to achieve this within the first 18 months in the role
- Good understanding of the markets the Group operates in, along with knowledge of regulations and legislation within the financial services sector
- Ability to influence and challenge constructively
- Strong business understanding and wider commercial insight
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Comfortable working on multiple activities simultaneously and embracing change
- Ability to work independently to tight timelines
- Proven track record of delivering timely, credible subject matter expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
