Our client is seeking a Compliance Manager / MLRO to provide essential support to the senior members of the Compliance team in ensuring that the business meets all legislative and regulatory requirements. This is a full-time position, with a focus on compliance monitoring and risk management. The successful candidate will play a critical role in addressing compliance queries and assisting in the promotion of a positive compliance culture within the organisation. Daily responsibilities will include validating testing based on established parameters, engaging with various business partners to resolve identified issues, and crafting thorough reports. The role also involves working closely with the Country Compliance Officer, Money Laundering Compliance Officer, and Risk team, contributing to the management of regulatory communications and ensuring adherence to compliance training and standards. This position offers the opportunity to influence compliance practices significantly and develop professionally within a supportive team environment.
Job Duties:
- Assist with queries from senior members of the Compliance team.
- Monitor adherence to relevant regulations, policies, procedures, and controls.
- Complete validation testing based on agreed parameters.
- Engage with business partners regarding identified areas of concern and prepare reports accordingly.
- Notify management of any arising issues and provide recommendations for change if applicable.
- Assist in researching, drafting, and refining compliance monitoring test criteria.
- Promote a positive compliance culture within the organisation.
- Support the Country Compliance Officer, Money Laundering Compliance Officer, and Risk team as required.
- Monitor and record regulatory communications and customer onboarding processes.
- Review marketing material and manage submissions to the Regulator’s Submissions Portal.
- Prepare documentation for queries from law enforcement and other regulatory agencies.
- Produce timely reporting for Committees and Boards periodically.
- Monitor relevant websites and share information with stakeholders.
- Communicate compliance and risk management requirements to clients, addressing queries and concerns.
- Deliver staff training as needed.
- Report any discovery of unmet standards to management with recommendations for rectification.
- Identify data quality issues, recommend solutions, and implement change.
- Take ownership of specific tasks as delegated by senior Compliance personnel.
- Review sanctions and related alerts and escalate as necessary.
- Review screening hits escalated to the Compliance team and act as required.
- Maintain Compliance and Risk registers as needed.
- Assist with local and Group Compliance projects as specified.
Job Requirements:
- 0-5 years of relevant experience.

- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility, openness, honesty, and approachability.
- Prompt escalation of risks and failures of standards to management.
- Reasonable working knowledge of Microsoft products, particularly Word and Excel.
- High ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters discreetly.
