Business Analyst

Our client is seeking a talented Business Analyst to become part of their growing Change Department, a team driving meaningful transformation across the business. In this key role, the successful candidate will work on exciting projects, collaborate with talented colleagues, and help shape the future of the organisation. The position involves full-time work and the candidate's analytical expertise and strategic thinking will enable smarter, more efficient ways of working, delivering tangible business improvements and operational efficiencies.

Job Duties:

  • Defining compelling business cases that deliver tangible benefits
  • Documenting as-is and to-be process flows
  • Eliciting and documenting clear, actionable business requirements and user stories
  • Conducting data analysis to uncover opportunities and inform decisions
  • Performing gap analyses impact and assessment
  • Providing business analysis support for software development, testing, data migration, and upgrades
  • Collaborating with third parties, project managers, product owners, and IT teams
  • Supporting UAT planning, testing, and validation to ensure business readiness
  • Mentoring junior members of the team and contributing to best practice within the change team

Job Requirements:

  • At least 4 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the life assurance industry
  • Excellent analytical skills, including a sharp problem-solving mindset, value identification, critical thinking, and decision support
  • A proven track record of delivering business improvement, efficiencies, and digital transformation projects
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks, including financial reporting and risk management
  • Experience with data modelling and data mapping in financial systems
  • Understanding of API integrations and file transfer processes
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and report writing skills
  • Ability to work as part of a large project team or independently
  • Confidence in building relationships across all levels of the business
  • Experience in agile or waterfall environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products (including Excel and Visio), as well as SQL and DevOps
  • A relevant professional qualification (or working towards one), such as the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis
