Temporary Senior Business Analyst, Risk & Operations - Until 31.12.2027

Our client seeks a Senior Business Analyst to support the Risk and Operations division on a fixed-term contract until 31 December 2027. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the data transformation programme, which aims to create a robust data and IT infrastructure that meets the regulatory needs of the business both now and in the future. With a focus on cloud-based solutions and microservices, the Analyst will help modernise the existing legacy CRM systems. The role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of various information systems to efficiently identify and extract required data, ensuring optimal data management and regulatory compliance. This position is pivotal in promoting innovation and upholding the Bailiwick of Guernsey's international reputation within the financial services sector.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality prudential, financial crime, and conduct regulation within the Bailiwick of Guernsey
  • Assist in protecting and enhancing the Bailiwick’s reputation within the financial services sector
  • Provide Senior Business Analyst services related to the Data Transformation Programme
  • Identify supervisory requirements for new information systems functionality
  • Document opportunities for developing information system offerings from user perspectives
  • Identify efficient data pipeline processes, including collection, storage, transformation, usage, and reporting
  • Support the development and maintenance of the firm's information systems

Job Requirements:

  • Understanding of software development, on-premise infrastructure, data migrations, Dynamics 365, Azure, cloud-hosted platforms, microservices, APIs, and data repositories
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., agile, waterfall) and relevant software tools (e.g., DevOps, JIRA, MS Project)
  • Ability to re-engineer, test, and implement end-user workflows for new information systems offerings
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with divisional representatives and supporting Business Analysts
  • Capacity to produce accurate, clear, and concise written documentation
  • Proficient in chairing and contributing to meetings in a professional manner
  • Strong collaborative skills, with an emphasis on supporting and developing team members
