Senior Pensions Executive

Our client, headquartered in the Isle of Man, is seeking a Senior Pensions Executive to provide comprehensive administration assistance and dedicated support to the Pensions department. In this role, you will be an integral part of the team, managing a diverse array of pension schemes which may include master trusts, international group and personal schemes, as well as domestic personal pension schemes. The position requires you to be detail-oriented and proactive, as you will oversee key administrative functions related to benefit payments, investments, and pension transfers. This is a full-time role, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.

Job Duties:

  • Administration of various pension scheme types, including master trusts, international group and personal schemes, as well as domestic personal pension schemes.
  • Administration of benefit payments, investments and pension transfers.
  • Opening bank accounts and investment portfolios for pension schemes.
  • Producing and reviewing periodic pension valuations.
  • Managing GAD calculations for all SIPP clients.
  • Providing training and support for pension executives.
  • Managing the investment mailbox.
  • Overseeing property-related tasks, including processing expense claims, handling purchases and sales on behalf of the pension scheme, and preparing/reviewing lease agreements for tenants.
  • Drafting deeds using standard templates and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Overseeing trustee retirement processes and related compliance requirements.
  • Administering procedures for member death or scheme dissolution.
  • Coordinating and processing transfers in line with regulatory and scheme guidelines.
  • Bookkeeping of pension scheme assets.
  • Administration of the new client take-on process.
  • Liaising directly with clients.
  • Performing various administration tasks.

Job Requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above.
  • Previous experience in pension administration and client portfolio administration is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience using VT, CCH, Viewpoint and Laserfiche would be beneficial, but is not essential.
  • Commitment to external and internal training and professional development.
