The Private Client and Corporate Services team engages effectively with clients and their advisers, delivering an informed and personal service in a fast-paced setting. Reporting to the Head of Projects in Guernsey, the Project Manager will play a critical role in delivering individual projects within the Group's Programme Management Office (PMO). The role is designed to meet project objectives on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standards.
Job Duties:
- Act as the Project Manager on a range of projects, ensuring alignment with the Group's transformation agenda.
- Manage individual projects end-to-end, developing and maintaining project plans, timelines, budgets, and dashboards using digital tools.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, escalating critical issues to the Head of Projects or appropriate governance forums.
- Prepare reports and presentations on project progress for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders across departments to ensure project success.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the organisation, focusing on the use of digital tools to enhance project delivery.
- Champion the use of collaborative digital platforms to improve stakeholder engagement and communication.
Job Requirements:
- Educated to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent.
- A minimum of five years’ relevant experience in project management.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
- Experience in running and delivering successful projects.
- Preferable but not essential: attainment of a relevant professional qualification or robust experiential understanding of agile and hybrid methodologies.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage projects independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in digital platforms to optimise project workflows, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong critical analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective business presentation skills and ability to produce high-quality documentation and reports.
- Strong negotiation skills to align stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities effectively.
