Payroll Administrator

Our client is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their team. This role entails processing payrolls and payments promptly and efficiently while managing a portfolio of clients. The position operates in a fast-paced environment where the post-holder will handle numerous email and phone queries related to payroll processing daily. Given the demanding nature of the role, it is essential that the candidate is extremely organised, able to work independently, and think creatively. A collaborative team player is required, someone who consistently strives to deliver exceptional service. A keen eye for detail will be necessary, as the candidate will need to meet deadlines without compromising quality. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with clients and enhance their experience while ensuring accurate payroll management.

Job Duties:

  • Accurately and efficiently process payrolls for clients
  • Liaise with clients regarding amendments, reports, and funds
  • Distribute payslips to clients
  • Maintain precise payroll records
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, addressing queries professionally and promptly
  • Prepare and submit year-end returns, including Benefits in Kind
  • Assist with and complete any other tasks reasonably required
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements
  • Ensure contributions are accurately paid to the appropriate Government bodies on time

Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years' experience in a payroll environment (desirable)
  • Prior experience using payroll systems (desirable)
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Confidence to communicate across all levels of the organisation
  • Awareness of Data Protection and FSA legislation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Maths and English
