Retail Sales Consultant

Our client is seeking a Retail Sales Consultant to deliver an efficient and professional sales and support service to customers looking for information, purchasing assistance, and after-sales support for their full range of products and services, including mobile and residential solutions. This role is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week from Monday to Saturday with one day off during the week. The successful candidate will be based at a retail store located in the Isle of Man. The role requires availability during prominent local events such as the Isle of Man TT and the Manx Grand Prix, along with selected evening shifts and Sundays during the Christmas trading period.

Job Duties:

  • Arrive at work punctually for daily staff briefings prior to the shop's opening.
  • Provide a professional sales service for all customers.
  • Strive for customer excellence consistently.
  • Greet customers warmly and with a smile.
  • Offer honest and clear information to customers.
  • Ensure every customer leaves with their needs met or a satisfactory ongoing process.
  • Provide comprehensive information to assist customers in making informed decisions.
  • Ensure all customers leave with a complete and functional service or are informed about their service provision date.
  • Demonstrate and sell products and services from the client’s mobile and residential portfolio.
  • Achieve full competence in using the relevant computerised systems and sales applications after training.
  • Deliver ongoing support for all products and services by face-to-face, email, and telephone contact, aiming to resolve queries and complaints within one working day.
  • Assist in the training of new Retail team members, if required.
  • Engage in any required training sessions.
  • Be responsive to customer needs.
  • Maintain awareness of the company’s commercial requirements, especially in the retail department.
  • Work to meet personal and group sales targets.
  • Process all orders and adhere to set targets.
  • Safeguard the company from legal action and maintain compliance with regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to effectively handle difficult customers.
