Compliance Technician

Our client is seeking a Compliance Technician to become an integral member of the Group’s Compliance Team. This role operates from the second line and involves engaging and partnering with various business areas to provide support and training on regulatory themes. Key responsibilities include assisting the Senior Compliance Manager in designing policies and frameworks, ensuring these are effectively translated into operational procedures within the business. The Compliance Technician will also design and deliver training, undertake compliance monitoring, and build strong stakeholder relationships as a subject matter expert. Furthermore, the role requires providing guidance on regulatory matters, collating data for compliance reporting, and maintaining the Group's values at all times. The position is a full-time role, allowing the individual to contribute significantly to the Group's overarching compliance objectives.

Job Duties:

  • Support the Group’s Senior Compliance Manager
  • Design policies, frameworks, and standards of conduct
  • Deliver theme-based training and education to the business
  • Undertake compliance monitoring and document findings
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Provide advice and guidance on regulatory and conduct matters
  • Collate data for compliance reporting and regulatory submissions
  • Ensure adherence to the Group's values

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a compliance or investment role within an FSA-regulated (or equivalent) environment
  • Good working knowledge of the Isle of Man Financial Service Authority Rule Book
  • In-depth understanding of the investment or banking sector
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing effective compliance processes
  • Recognised or working towards compliance or investment-related qualifications
  • Strong communication skills at both operational and strategic levels
  • Excellent work ethic and people-oriented approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various functions
  • Problem-solving and implementation skills
  • High attention to detail and a flexible attitude
