Our client is currently seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager to join their team in St Helier, Jersey. This full-time, permanent role represents an opportunity to contribute significantly to the organisation, as it plays an enhanced role in the continued success of Jersey as a highly regarded International Financial Centre. The successful candidate will advance and embed the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, ensuring continuous maturity and a focus on driving meaningful organisational values. They will establish strong stakeholder relationships and enhance the understanding of line responsibilities in risk management throughout the organisation. The role also involves translating ERM data into insightful reporting for the Executive and Board, facilitating effective Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), and performing root cause analyses of incidents and issues.
Job Duties:
- Advance and embed the ERM framework to mature and drive organisational values.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation.
- Translate ERM data into high-quality, insightful reporting for senior leadership.
- Facilitate effective Risk and Control Self-Assessments, Control Testing, and Root Cause Analysis of incidents.
- Strengthen the organisation's ability to deliver on statutory objectives and strategic ambitions.
- Provide insightful risk analysis and reporting to enhance decision-making.
- Ensure leadership can set priorities and allocate resources effectively based on clear risk intelligence.
- Promote engagement with risk as a key enabler within the organisation.
- Address risk issues and incidents quickly, focusing on understanding root causes and enhancing controls.
- Foster a healthy risk culture where ownership of risk is embedded within the business.
Job Requirements:
- Solid experience in managing enterprise risk management activities, including risks, controls, and incident management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex risk information into actionable insights.
- Naturally curious mindset and confidence in constructively challenging assumptions for continuous improvement.
- Strong sense of ownership and self-motivation with excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strategic and proactive approach, with an ability to build positive working relationships.
- Experience with the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 or willingness to undertake relevant training or qualifications is desirable.
