Learning & Development Coordinator

Our client is seeking a Learning and Development Coordinator to support the creation, implementation and maintenance of a structured learning and development infrastructure across the organisation. This role involves coordinating learning programmes from end to end, ensuring that all activity is well organised, accurately recorded and consistently delivered throughout the business. You will take ownership of the learning management system, overseeing its configuration, structure and governance to ensure a seamless and scalable learning experience. The position is well suited to someone who enjoys building order, designing systems and maintaining accuracy in all aspects of learning administration. You will collaborate with internal teams and external providers, support the rollout of key learning initiatives and ensure that learning content is up to date and effectively managed. Additionally, you will contribute to continuous improvement by using data, feedback and system insights to support enhancements. Our client requires someone who is organised, proactive and committed to delivering a high‑quality learning experience across the organisation.

Job Duties:

  • Leading the implementation and ongoing development of the learning system, including configuration, structure and governance.
  • Building learning frameworks, pathways and curricula aligned to business needs.
  • Configuring user access, roles, learning journeys and reporting functionality.
  • Uploading, maintaining and managing learning content with strong version control.
  • Acting as system owner and providing first‑line support to users.
  • Working with system providers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
  • Coordinating learning programmes, including scheduling, logistics and communications.
  • Administering attendance tracking and follow‑up actions.
  • Liaising with internal subject matter experts and external training providers.
  • Supporting the rollout of mandatory, role‑specific and development learning initiatives.
  • Maintaining accurate learning records, logs and completion data.
  • Producing reports and management information, including participation and compliance statistics.
  • Monitoring feedback, evaluation data and learning insights to support improvements.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance learning processes, system functionality and user experience.
  • Supporting the development of standardised learning processes, templates and guidance.
  • Contributing insights from system data to the wider learning strategy.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in learning and development, HR, training or an administrative role.
  • Strong system mindset with the ability to design and maintain structured learning frameworks.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence working with data, reporting and management information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in a regulated or professional services environment (desirable).
  • Experience implementing or configuring a learning management system (desirable).
  • Experience building learning pathways or competency‑based frameworks (desirable).
  • Familiarity with e‑learning tools and blended learning delivery (desirable).
  • Understanding of learning and development best practice (desirable).
  • Methodical, process‑driven and highly organised.
  • Proactive, solution‑focused and collaborative.
  • Committed to delivering a high‑quality learning experience.
