Business Development Senior Executive

Our client is searching for a Business Development Senior Executive to work closely with the Business Development Manager and the Head of Business Development. In this pivotal role, the Senior Executive will be responsible for supporting partners and their teams in executing their business plans through a diverse range of domestic and international business development activities, both in-person and online. The individual will collaborate with teams across different offices, jurisdictions, and time zones to identify growth opportunities and develop strategic plans. Building strong relationships within various practice groups is essential in order to gain a clear understanding of key markets and to cultivate a robust personal brand within the global business. Stellar communication skills are required, along with previous experience in an onshore or offshore law environment. This position may involve some necessary business-related travel, reporting directly to the Head of Business Development and integrating within the wider Business Development and Marketing team.

Job Duties:

  • Support the planning and execution of external and internal events and conferences in alignment with business development and marketing objectives.
  • Oversee the execution of business development plans for designated global practice teams, collaborating closely with the Marketing and Communications team.
  • Assist legal professionals in the preparation for business development trips, including the coordination of materials, scheduling support, and post-trip follow-up.
  • Maintain and leverage the CRM system to accurately document, process, and report on client, intermediary, and business development-related information.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of business development initiatives aimed at achieving departmental and firm-wide growth objectives.
  • Work closely with global Marketing team colleagues to coordinate business development activities, communications, and campaign support.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the firm’s practice areas, target markets, key messaging, and industry trends; participate in relevant training sessions as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Educated to A level or equivalent with a professional/relevant qualification in Marketing preferred.
  • Experience in a law firm environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong planning capabilities and a proven ability to work well within a team setting.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a record of successful delivery.
  • Expertise in event production, event contract procedures, logistics, and audience management is advantageous.
  • Confidence, resilience, and a pragmatic approach with the ability to handle unforeseen issues and adapt to change.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic mindset with a positive attitude.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to maintain high standards of delivery.
  • A committed and supportive team player.
  • Experience with a CRM system is beneficial, although not essential.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to anti-money laundering and terrorist financing.
  • A willingness to continually enhance skills and knowledge while adhering to core values and behaviours.
  • Flexibility to occasionally extend working hours when required.
