Accounts Administrator

Our client is seeking an Accounts Administrator to join their Finance team. This full-time role offers working hours from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with an hour each day for lunch. The Accounts Administrator will be responsible for overseeing multiple responsibilities that are integral to the finance operations of the organisation. Key duties include performing daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations across the company's various bank accounts, including premiums received. The role also involves intercompany reconciliations and liaising with Group companies regarding transfers and associated accounting entries. Furthermore, the successful candidate will process payments using the company’s banking platforms and post relevant accounting entries in the SUN ledger. Our client values flexibility and teamwork; therefore, occasional support to colleagues in the finance team will be required to ensure all obligations are met.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations across bank accounts
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations, transfers, and associated accounting entries
  • Process payments on the company’s banking platforms
  • Post relevant accounting entries in the SUN ledger

Job Requirements:

  • Previous office experience
  • Strong understanding of accountancy and bookkeeping principles
  • Excellent mathematical ability and logical thinking skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with SunSystems or similar accounting software (beneficial but not essential)
  • Qualifications such as AAT, CAT or similar
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at grade C or above
