Wealth Planning Director

Our client is seeking an experienced Wealth Planning Director to enhance their team in the Isle of Man. In this senior role, you will provide strategic leadership and holistic wealth planning advice, focusing on building and maintaining outstanding client relationships. You will be instrumental in supporting the business development strategy while also offering your subject matter expertise to refine financial planning propositions and processes. Your proactive approach will ensure that clients receive exceptional service, addressing their specific needs and circumstances, including those of vulnerable clients. You will collaborate with colleagues to drive growth and influence industry-best practices within the team. Job Duties:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of strong client relationships, demonstrating professional integrity
  • Provide holistic wealth planning advice, focusing on pensions, investments, and overall financial strategies
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant advice in accordance with regulations and industry standards
  • Advance your team's business development efforts and manage client mandates effectively
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, reinforcing the firm’s market positioning
  • Conduct timely and high-standard suitability reviews to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and needs assessment
  • Work collaboratively with Client Administration and Client Services teams to guarantee accurate and timely client processing
  • Engender strong relationships with clients, ensuring they are well-informed of investment opinions and wealth management services
  • Drive involvement in local business development initiatives and networking opportunities
  • Present confidently at seminars and conferences, showcasing your expertise
  • Engage in company-wide projects to enhance operational efficiencies and service delivery
  • Support the senior leadership team in refining the firm's market proposition and growth strategies
  • Conduct individual client consultations and document meetings thoroughly to ensure transparency
  • Remain attuned to industry trends and best practices, adapting strategies as necessary
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and integration within the team, positively influencing junior members

Job Requirements:

  • Level 4 qualified with a relevant financial planning professional qualification
  • At least 5 years of experience in a wealth planning role, with demonstrable leadership capabilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial planning products and processes
  • Proficient in providing wealth planning advice under T&C policies
  • Strong IT skills, including competency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Experience with financial planning software, such as XPlan and Voyant, is preferable
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, adaptable to diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to build and sustain long-term professional relationships
  • Commitment to high ethical standards and compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Self-motivation with a proactive, flexible work ethic
