Our client is seeking a Regulatory and Compliance Executive to join their team in Douglas on a full-time basis. This position is integral to the Regulatory and Compliance function and offers a varied role that encompasses AML/CFT supervision and engagement with government agencies and the legal profession.
This role is ideal for either an experienced compliance professional or a developing professional eager to take on greater responsibility. The position offers meaningful exposure to regulatory policy and supervisory work while ensuring adherence to AML/CFT regulations.
Job Duties:
- Supervisory Inspections - Supporting the management, administration, and delivery of AML/CFT supervisory inspections of member practices. This includes contributing to inspection working papers and reports, maintaining an understanding of each practice's risk profile, and assisting with the review of evidence and reports prepared for supervisory purposes.
- Framework, Policies, and Guidance - Helping to maintain and improve the AML/CFT supervisory framework, internal policies, and the rules and guidance issued to the profession, ensuring these remain risk-based, proportionate, and aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Member Engagement and Education - Acting as a point of contact for law firms and their MLROs, including handling queries to the AML/CFT helpline and contributing to the training program, annual masterclass, quarterly coffee hours, and regular compliance communications.
- Council and Stakeholder Support - Providing regulatory input to the council and its sub-committees, contributing to consultation responses, horizon scanning for legislative and AML/CFT developments, and assisting with annual supervisory reporting. The role involves liaison with the FSA, FIU, and other government bodies as required.
- Regulatory & Compliance Executive - Supporting the development of the internal compliance framework and contributing to the smooth running of the office, including drafting procedures and providing cover within the team as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, including compliance, risk, and regulatory environments
- Suitable for experienced professionals or individuals looking to further develop their expertise within this area
- Working knowledge of AML/CFT and the relevant regulatory framework preferred
- Experience in inspection, audit, or report-writing activities would be advantageous
