AML & High Risk Technical Specialist

Our client is seeking an AML and High-Risk Technical Specialist to join their operational teams, offering client-centric services and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. This full-time role involves overseeing risk appetites, managing higher-risk applications, and collaborating with various internal teams. The position includes responsibilities such as preparing submission packs for the High-Risk Committee and ensuring client onboarding meets regulatory requirements.

Job Duties:

• Act as a subject matter expert in AML, focusing on higher-risk client segments
• Develop, implement, and maintain AML procedures and controls with the Financial Crime Team
• Conduct comprehensive, risk-based due diligence and maintain client profiles
• Implement transaction-monitoring systems and stay abreast of regulatory changes
• Collaborate with the First Line Assurance team and provide guidance on client applications
• Act as a representative on AML/CFT projects and manage the Business Risk Assessment

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of five years' experience in regulated financial services, particularly in the investment industry
• Strong understanding of AML/CFT legislation in the Isle of Man
• Experience analysing complex corporate structures and associated due-diligence requirements
• Familiarity with governance, risk, and control frameworks, particularly the 3 Lines Model
• Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
