Credit Origination Manager

The role of Credit Origination Manager involves proactively originating, assessing, structuring, and supporting the execution of structured product deals specifically for Business and Commercial Banking clients. The individual in this position will be responsible for ensuring high-quality credit submissions while maintaining effective risk management practices. This full-time role requires a strong commitment to delivering a seamless client credit experience and aims to contribute to the structured debt product revenue growth and market penetration. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in credit origination, commercial property lending, and corporate/business banking, and will have demonstrated skills in structuring complex property finance deals. This position demands collaboration with Relationship Managers to identify client credit needs early in the deal process and to influence client outcomes effectively. Candidates should have substantial exposure to the offshore banking environment, which will be beneficial.

Job Duties:

  • Accompany Relationship Managers on client visits to identify credit needs early in the deal process, shaping deal strategies upfront.
  • Apply strong credit analysis and structuring expertise to develop well-structured, risk-aligned proposals.
  • Originate and structure debt solutions in collaboration with Relationship Managers and product heads to drive revenue growth.
  • Provide structured debt insights to influence client selection, credit appetite, and the development of engagement strategies.
  • Participate in the Business Assessment Committee and deal negotiations to guide viable deal design in alignment with bank strategy and risk appetite.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a First Degree in Business Commerce; a Post Graduate Degree in Business Commerce is preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in Business and Commercial Banking.
  • Experience in credit origination, commercial property lending, and corporate/business banking with skills in structuring property finance deals.
  • 3 - 4 years of experience in partnering with Relationship Managers and influencing client outcomes.
  • Exposure to the offshore banking environment is advantageous.
