Senior Pensions Administrator

The role of Senior Pensions Administrator involves providing dedicated administrative support to the Pensions department. The position requires full-time commitment, amounting to 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of various pension scheme types, including master trusts and domestic personal pension schemes. Key responsibilities include processing benefit payments, managing pension investments and transfers, and overseeing estate-related tasks. The Senior Pensions Administrator will also be involved in reviewing pension valuations and providing training and support for pension executives. This position necessitates liaising directly with clients and undertaking additional duties as required by the business's needs.

Job Duties:

  • Administration of various pension scheme types, including master trusts, international group, and personal schemes
  • Administration of benefit payments, investments, and pension transfers
  • Opening bank accounts and investment portfolios for pension schemes
  • Producing and reviewing periodic pension valuations
  • Managing GAD calculations for all SIPP clients
  • Providing training and support for pension executives
  • Managing the investment mailbox
  • Processing property-related tasks, including expense claims and lease agreements
  • Drafting deeds using standard templates and ensuring accurate documentation
  • Overseeing trustee retirement processes and compliance requirements
  • Administering procedures for member death or scheme dissolution
  • Coordinating and processing transfers in line with regulatory and scheme guidelines
  • Bookkeeping of pension scheme assets
  • Administration of the new client take-on process
  • Performing various administrative tasks as required

Job Requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above
  • Previous experience in pension administration and client portfolio administration is essential
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
  • Previous experience using VT, CCH, Viewpoint, and Laserfiche would be beneficial but is not essential
