Associate, Dispute Resolution

This full-time role is designed for an Associate in the Dispute Resolution department. The selected candidate will be a crucial part of the growing Disputes team, which places the needs of clients at the forefront of its operations. This position involves engaging in a wide array of cross-border litigation and insolvency matters, including fraud investigations, asset tracing, shareholder disputes, contentious trust and probate matters, as well as restructuring and contentious regulatory advisory matters. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with more senior team members to navigate the high demands of client needs and adjust to varying deadlines. This role will involve drafting legal documents, conducting thorough research, and providing insightful legal advice, along with assisting in business development activities. The team prides itself on delivering pragmatic and creative solutions to complex issues, maintaining a focus on excellence and client satisfaction.

Job Duties:

  • Draft concise documents in plain language
  • Research efficiently and draft comprehensive, accurate, and practical legal advice
  • Produce first-class legal analysis on complex areas of law and fact patterns
  • Effectively take notes and record clear instructions
  • Provide concise letters and reports for clients, written in plain language
  • Advise clients, under the guidance of the Partner, helping them decide the best course of action
  • Write and speak persuasively
  • Manage competing deadlines
  • Assist senior lawyers with appropriate business development activities

Job Requirements:

  • NQ to 3 years post-qualification experience in a similar role
  • Admitted to practice in England & Wales or Jersey
  • Flexible mindset with a proven track record of navigating diverse challenges
