Banking Supervisor

This role involves supervising the banking team, which is accountable for several critical tasks. Key responsibilities include preparing client payments and maintaining electronic banking platforms, encompassing system administration. The successful individual will liaise with banks regarding mandate changes and trigger events and assist with bank account openings. Additionally, the individual will participate fully in ad hoc projects and committees as required, ensuring accurate time recording for correct fee income generation. Providing supervision and guidance to team members and arranging appropriate reporting and management information will be essential to support business needs. The role also contributes to enhancing internal customer efficiency, particularly concerning payment processing and account opening.

Job Duties:

  • Supervise the banking team, ensuring effective operation and workflow management
  • Prepare client payments and maintain electronic banking platforms
  • Liaise with banks on mandate changes and trigger events
  • Assist in the opening of bank accounts
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and committees
  • Provide accurate time reporting to ensure correct fee income
  • Offer supervision and guidance to other team members
  • Arrange reporting and management information to meet business needs
  • Contribute to improving internal customer efficiency in payment processing and account opening

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of banking knowledge
  • Experience in staff supervision
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage personal workflow
  • Understanding and application of strong corporate governance
  • Initiative-taking and ability to work under pressure
  • Practical understanding of high-quality client service delivery
  • Problem identification and resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, along with people skills
  • Clear understanding of the products and services offered
  • Ability to identify, mitigate, and manage operational risk and controls
  • Clear understanding of regulatory requirements
  • Commitment to quality service for clients and professional advisors
  • Ability to work autonomously with high discipline
