People & Culture Business Partner

This role of People & Culture Business Partner involves a full-time commitment of 35 hours per week on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor within the organisation, aligning people initiatives with the business strategy. This position entails the provision of expert guidance on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, the support of organisational change, and the driving of initiatives aimed at enhancing the colleague experience while fostering high performance. The role is critical in developing and deploying the People Strategy, ensuring a high-performing environment is created where individuals thrive. The People & Culture division focuses on supporting the workforce through recruitment, advice, payroll, and development, aiming to nurture a culture of professionalism and respect. The candidate will also be responsible for managing external partnerships and driving proactive wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion efforts. This comprehensive approach is designed to ensure the organisation's long-term resilience and adaptability.

Job Duties:

  • Strengthening organisational capability by delivering initiatives that address current needs and future growth.
  • Aligning central people initiatives with divisional business plans to drive high performance and enhance regulatory effectiveness.
  • Delivering actionable insights and management information to empower leaders and the People & Culture team.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives to ensure a progressive and inspiring people approach.
  • Actively managing external partnerships to meet strategic and operational expectations.
  • Implementing proactive wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion efforts as integral components of the People Strategy.
  • Analysing data to generate meaningful insights and drive evidence-based decision-making.

Job Requirements:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and coach colleagues.
  • Proven HR Generalist experience across a broad range of HR activities and a strong understanding of Jersey employment legislation.
  • Ideally possesses a CIPD qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to work to required deadlines and connect with all stakeholders, from senior leaders to trainees.
  • Proficient in data analysis to inform decisions and provide sound advice and guidance.
  • A motivation for continuous learning and development, with a flexible approach and aptitude for teamwork.
  • Prior experience or passion for learning and development is desirable.
