Senior Facilities Manager

The Senior Facilities Manager will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the workplace estate across multiple jurisdictions. This role ensures that all offices provide a professional, safe, and welcoming environment for employees and clients while maintaining cost-effectiveness and planning for growth. The position goes beyond daily facilities operations and includes significant project management responsibilities, such as overseeing office searches, fit-outs, relocations, and consolidations. The Senior Facilities Manager will collaborate closely with local leadership and central functions to ensure office strategies align with commercial ambitions. Reporting to the Group COO, this individual must balance operational rigour with commercial pragmatism, maintaining consistent standards across a diverse portfolio while respecting local requirements and cultures. Regular travel across the jurisdictions will be necessary.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and maintain a Group-wide office and workplace strategy aligned to forecasts and operational needs.
  • Monitor occupancy levels, lease expiry profiles, and identify areas needing intervention.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations on office investments, consolidations, and relocations.
  • Maintain a forward view of property market conditions to inform lease and acquisition decisions.
  • Lead end-to-end office projects, managing project budgets, timelines, and third-party suppliers.
  • Coordinate with IT, Compliance, and P&C to ensure new or refurbished offices meet all technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the operational management of all Group offices to ensure consistently high standards.
  • Manage relationships with landlords, agents, and facilities service providers across all jurisdictions.
  • Champion employee and client experience by maintaining high standards in the physical workplace.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of facilities vendors, establishing service level agreements and conducting performance reviews.
  • Ensure all offices have appropriate business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements in place.
  • Build strong relationships with MDs, office leads, and local teams, acting as a trusted partner on workplace matters.

Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience in facilities management or corporate real estate, ideally within a multi-site environment.
  • Proven track record in leading office relocation, fit-out, or consolidation projects.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget ownership and lease negotiation.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety, fire safety, and building compliance requirements; relevant qualifications are desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively across cultures while maintaining Group-wide consistency.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engagement with senior leadership and external partners.
  • Experience supporting post-acquisition integration is advantageous.
  • Willingness to adapt to flexible working hours and travel frequently across jurisdictions.
  • Strong customer service orientation, understanding the importance of delivering high standards.
